What is a Podcast?

A podcast is an audio or video recording posted online. Podcasting is a method of publishing audio and video programs via the Internet that lets users subscribe to a feed of new files. With podcasts, you can automatically receive a new file without having to go to a specific site to download it. Simply subscribe using your “podcatcher” software (like iTunes) and you will receive a new podcast every time we publish one.

How do I subscribe to "LVH To Go"?

You need an application, commonly called a "podcatcher" (a type of aggregator), to download new content automatically and organize podcasts. For a sample list of podcatchers, go to http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/aboutrss

Do I have to subscribe to "LVH To Go" to listen?

You don't have to use a podcatcher to listen to "LVH To Go". Just click on the "Listen Now" link and it will play through your regular media player.

Melanoma Treatment Offers Less Painful, More Effective Treatment

This therapy targets melanoma confined to an arm or leg. The majority of patients treated with isolated limb infusion have shown a significant response to the therapy, and in most cases all the disease on the affected extremity is completely gone within three months.

“It’s the preferred method when standard surgical treatment is not enough,” surgical oncologist Paul Mosca, M.D says. By using a tourniquet and a catheter inserted percutaneously, Mosca delivers large doses of chemotherapy to a patient’s limb without affecting the rest of the body.

Because the patient’s limb is isolated during the procedure, the chemotherapy drug goes only to where it’s needed most. “It allows us to deliver high doses of chemotherapy directly to the limb,” Mosca says.
